Since I can't have other ceramides b/c they are always with wheat which I'm allergic to, this one is a great alternative. I wasn't sure about the dosage, but it seems that is b/c of the source and not necessarily it's effectiveness (by reading the comments). I have a great improvement of my skin with less profound lines and wrinkles, but I do use more that aids in this and for me hard to tell what part is because of these ceramides. But I do know they are important building blocks and it feels good to have them.
